Requesting access to GPU servers for Staff, Professors, Researchers

Context

Accounts that are members of the .G.CL group on ZI's Active Directory (everyone else is). This means that an operator from CL's infra will need to assign a student user to the group ".L.CL.infra-server-access-student".

Procedure

Send an email to infra@cl.uzh.ch with the following details:

• Complete name
• Research group or project
• Name of the Professor supervising the student
• Which GPU server(s) the student needs access to

Before using *nix storage and servers, we invite everyone to accustom themselves to the documentation for the infrastructure, and especially:

• Get their public ssh key in their user’s .ssh folder, granting them access to the servers they need
• Understand how to use the storage including the dos and don’ts
• Be respectful of shared resources
• Learn to access the services they need to use
